Presented the modern yet traditional Japanese craft as a finalist of the International Lantern Contest in Vietnam. The work entitled Totem of Hope is lighting sculptures in which the spirits of nature inhabit the lanterns and become pillars to watch over us humans. The concept is based on Japanese animistic beliefs, with six different decorated lanterns as haunted lanterns looking out in all directions stacked on top of each other.
